Co-organized and moderated The Integrated Circuit: Embodiment, Difference,
Resistance, a panel discussion and correlating workshops exploring the intersections
of digital technologies, postcolonialism, repression and resistance. Artist collectives
and theorists included Faith Wilding and Lucia Sommer of subRosa, John Leanos
and Praba Pilar of Los Cybrids, Irina Aristarkhova from the National University
of Singapore and Karen Wong and Oana Spinu from StudioXX in Montreal.

Co-organized the second annual Nomads & Homesteaders event in conjunction
with V>02. The N&H program consisted of panels, workshops and an evening
sound performance. The program focused on technology as both spectacle and as
tactical agent with regards to artistic practice. Guests included Steve Dietz
of the Walker Art Center, Dan Sandin from UIC's The Cave and Soundlab Cultural
Alchemy, NYC.

Nomads & Homesteaders,
School of the Art Institute, Chicago, IL
Directed and co-organized the first 3-day media symposium of the graduate student
run media collective Nomads & Homesteaders. The program consisted
of panels, screenings and an evening audio/visual performance. The program explored
media-based curatorial models using the metaphors of nomad (i.e. traveling festival)
and homesteader (i.e. institutionalized programming). Screenings included work
from Madcat Women's International Film Festival located in San Francisco and
The Robert Beck Memorial Cinema located in NYC. |

art direction and design for interactive and video projects
at several major post production facilities and new media
firms in NYC including Image Group Post, Unitel Productions,
Manhattan Transfer.
Involved in the interface design and creation of animated content for convergent
media technology (interactive television) at HyperTV Networks (www.actv.com)
providing synchronous web and video content used in entertainment and educational
programming.
Past projects include:
art direction and design for corporate intranet sites for clients such as Bristol-Myers
Squibb, KPMG, Mitsubishi, The Coca-Cola Company and The McGraw-Hill Companies;
title design and opening sequences for corporate and independent film and videos
for clients such as Arté Televsion, Herbie Hancock, Michel Negreponté and
Scholastic; and design direction for educational and music CD-ROMS for clients
such as Bell & Partners, Harper Collins and Northern Telecom. |
