Rich nobles party in Russia. Napoleon gets closer. Pierre marries a socialite and gets jaded. Natasha becomes the belle of the ball and gets engaged to Prince Andrei. Natasha learns about bad boys and the engagement is broken. The war comes home. Parties continue, but smaller. Prince Andrei goes off to war, Pierre goes off to existential dreamland. Prince Andrei dies. The war is over. Natasha and Pierre get married.
